New Use for Stem Cells — Restoring Sight

The story link above takes you to a Washington Post article on the use of stem cells to restore vision in victims of accidental blindness caused by chemical exposure. Note that no embryonic stem cells were used in this treatment: all cells were taken from the healthy tissue of the patients themselves and re-implanted into the diseased tissue in order to restore vision.
