  • “Being a little heavy may have some extra benefits” – http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21655928/. The story considers the health benefits of being about 10-20 pounds overweight. In the case of some diseases, the survival rate goes up for those slightly overweight.
  • “New nutrition labels headed to stores” – http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22006724/. The new labels will rank food on a 1-100 scale, with 100 being healthiest and 1 being least healthy. The labels are not mandatory, but merely voluntary. The central idea is to make it easier for consumers to make food choices, but is it possible to define food along such a simple concept as overall health?
  • “Critics complain of cracks in food-safety system” – http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21642618/. Is it time to unify the nation’s food regulators?
  • “Should spanking be illegal?” – http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=3924024. A legislator in Massachusetts is attempting to pass a bill that would ban spanking of children by parents (no state currently has such a ban).
